At schooling she strives to fit in with the other kids, the black girls mock her and call her jaggy bones, this saddens her, fashioning her feel unwanted. Elena meets a boy at school named Eugene, they two subsume to each other because Eugene is also picked on and called The uncomplicated for his southern accent. Elena purgetually develops a crush on Eugene and so does he; she finally finds someone she can relate to, forbear her company and make her feel as if aliment in New Jersey is worthwhile.
